Hi Steph (Alpha 4)
Borneo Paradise looks fantastic - how did it compare with Islas Secas? It was great to get your call on Easter Monday - it really made Zoe's day to be able to talk to you. Enjoyed reading your letter - I've just one thing to say to you...spare trainers!!!! haha. Hope you have a great time on phase 3 seeing all the wildlife.
Missing you, xxx
Hi Lauren now Alpha 5 I think? Hope you managed the treck without getting too many leach friends. Not long now and you will be trecking down the escalators at heathrow, doesnt really seem long since we left you there shaking like a leaf with anticipation and excitement. Just received your letter today, made your dad cry lolx Cant wait to see all of the photos, the waterfalls and the monkeys sound awsome. (not a word I usually use but sounds appropriate for the moment).
Things are getting stupendous here as far as planning to move and go on holiday at the same time and run the business, Danielle is a bit freaked out by it all as the house is all boxed up and empty looking, reminds her of when we forgot to tell her we were moving to woodditton I think, retraumatised, I might give her some therapy, retail maybe.
All for now, hope you get my letter before you fly home and will be thinking of you on the paradise island scuba diving. Love you loads and missing you always mumxxx

Hi Tom (Hywel-Edwards) Alpha 1
Hope all is going well with the Kindergarten. We are starting to make preparations for your homecoming - not long to go now. We have rigged up a basha in the garden and the dogs have been working on a muddy area for you to struggle thro' on your way to bed. We have also organised an outdoor shower for you and stocked up on food essentials, noodles, oats etc. All the beer and soft drinks are in a sunny spot keeping warm. We have had no luck finding leeches but we've got some nice big spiders and maybe even a few hedgehog fleas. William is working on his imitation of a Bearded Pig, he's certainly got the beard, moustache and girth for it. We've also got the new (old) Landrover for you to bounce around in the back. We've arranged for a large pile of gravel to be delivered that you can spread on the drive. We hope that these preparations will help you settle in when you reach home. We haven't made it to France yet so you may be coming with us. Don't worry we can get some gravel there too. Happy April Fool's day. C U soon. Love Mum.
Hi Lizzie (alpha 4),
the count down's started until your return, well maybe? I've got my tickets confirmed for India now, definitely 10th - 16th May. Shame there's no way to meet up but it won't be long till we see you.
Final letters are on their way to you so hope you get them before the project concludes.
Enjoy the rest of your time there.
Dad
Lauren Roberts - Alpha 5. Hi Lauren. Sounds as if you are still having such a good time. Just back from hols - Spain not nearly as exciting as where you are but it was warmer than home, where it was snowing! Not sure when you're due home, but it must be soon. Look forward to seeing you when you get back - lots of photos to look at I expect. Bet you're quite looking forward to seeing your new home too! Mum is still hanging on to her sanity - she'll only be a bit ga ga by the time you get home, but by then she should have stopped twitching!!! Lots of Love Annie and Derek xxxx

Wauw. Claar is nu een week naar Engeland. Stu's grootmoeder is tachtig geworden. Zondag terug.
hi james alpha 1, its sass.
Got your latest letter, i think you're surprising everyone with your writing skills!! Also have seen the photos of you on the website, sounds like your having a wicked time out there! I bet your gagging for a beer or two!? Cant wait to see your photos.
For the past 2 and a bit weeks ive been housesitting jen and stuart shepherds house out near heathfield which has been really fun! The house is massive and it has got a huge garden/field at the back. Fortunately Dan has been staying with me so i haven't been alone out there. Still at the kennels but Thelma and Martin are going to be moving soon (hopefully by the end of this month) so i can leave freely. Just booked Dan and i into Alton Towers for three days over my birthday so im looking forward to that. Other than that everyones fine, hopefully speak to you when you get to Oz. Loads of love xxxx

Hey boy,
Sorry about posting Sarah's message twice - it takes so long to convince this site that you are who you say you are that when i finally was allowed to get in and post it i got a bit over excited and did it twice... oops! How's things? As sass says, we have been uber impressed by your letters - quite the dark horse aren't you?! You'll be taking over my old job at Pixel when you get back!
I love getting the letters, they're very funny! As you can imagine, everyone who comes round gets to hear them! Such a shame that i haven't been in on the occasions you've called - the letters sound like you are having an amazing time though, not so keen on the idea of the leeches, apparently demi moore uses them to detox her blood - if that's any consolation! i hope you have enough blood to make it to aus!
Everything is good here, it was Mike's 50th on sunday which was a brilliant party. i have to confess that caron (as you can imagine) topped up my wine so much that i felt the need for a little nap mid party... at the grand old age of 23 i can no longer take my alcohol! rubbish.
so, today is the 2nd april and on the 19th i move to clapham and start my new job in covent garden on the 21st - very excited! however i have got to have all my wisdom teeth out on the 18th which isn't quite so exciting and hopefully if there are any hotties in my new office, they'll conveniently be on holiday until i'm no longer swollen... not sure its the best way of making a good first impression!! When you get back i'll be expecting to see you in london for some good nights out! Am sharing a flat with a friend of a friend first of all but am going to start looking for a 1 bed flat by myself as soon as i get there really. i want my own space and then everyone can come and stay too!
Flat is really nice though, right by clapam common which will be wicked in the summer!
Other than that i don't have much news, mum and dad are good, barney is fine - still stupid - and the cats are stinky. Must be the most flatulent cats in the history of the world!
Anyhoo, i'm rattling on now and i think this message is probably unsociably long to post but never mind...
keep up the hard work at the kindergarten, hope you're enjoying it as much as you wanted to and that your berry (???) fever friend is ok now!
Can't wait to speak to you when you get to aus, miss you a bit, love you lots, have loads of fun! Rach x x x
Hello Anna of Alpha 1,
This is Mum checking in. I've just got two letters from you, which was lovely. One was telling me about the trek, which sounded very strenuous. eating fresh boar must have been an experience, but I think I'd have ducked out of chewing monkey too.
I've just been to Oxford for the day, which was great. Did you finish the Philip Pullman book that you took with you? The action starts in Oxford, so if you like we could go and see it. I was in the Pitt Rivers Museum, which has an amazing raft of stuff - shrunken heads, saddles, model boats, snowshoes - in a glorious clutter. It reminded me of your room, You'd feel at home.
At the moment your room is sinking under a sea of electronic bits. ian is clearing out, and borrowed the space. He promises it'll be clear by the time you get home.
I have given dad the details from your bank, and he is going to sort out the finances for you. I will chase him in a day or so to see if it went all right.
I hope you are enjoying the project. Working in a village sounds fun, and i think you'll like it. The whole expedition sounds fantastic, and i hope you are having a fantastic time. I'm very proud of you.
Lots of love,
Mum.
Hi Sarah (Alpha 2) Community,
Fantastic to hear you at change over! Hope you have got over the D&V and feeling better. We have thirty four baby lambs which Henry bought at Exeter, so feeding time is panic! Charlotte says hello she has just got back from London after watching the annual Oxford/Cambridge boat race, Oxford won so there was lots of partying! lol. Lucy thrilled as she has passed her trailer test, so there is no stopping her now. We had a nice meal with Andy and Judith at Jazmines on saturday. Sorry shouldnt have mentioned food! Henry joined Ryan and Adam watching movies which he really enjoyed. A rest for everyone from revision! Remember what that was like this time last year! Granny and Grandad send there love and cant wait until you get home soon. Zara the clothes shop phoned offering you a interview, will keep your CV on file for future vacancies. UCAS and UNI things all sorted. Henrys got his head down revising for his GCSEs at your old desk in the spare room, thinks it will give him luck! LOL. Purdey cant wait to see you! We are all missing you loads, looking forward to seeing you home soon. lots of love mum xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Hi Alice Small
I hope that this gets to you as I seem to have sent a few but sad to learn that you have received only two!!
Your letters arrived and it was sooooo great to speak to you the other day.
I have been trying to sort the uni accom for you. The Owens park, that they now have listed as your first choice, does not have en-suite!! Whats to do??
Took Tom to Bristol today and seems that he will be recommended for a place in September! Amazing huh!
Phe is having great strife with Frontier. They have treated them both so badly.. I feel that the GMTV beckons as we cant seem to get anywhere through the 'normal' channels.
Hope you are well and enjoying the new project. I am sure that you are.
We all miss you very much, but I miss you most!
Biggest hug,
Love mum xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Mozzmoods
How are you baby girl?
Hope you get to see this when you get back from trek. How did the dive go? was it a nice break from construction work?
Can't wait to hear your travel plans - not long now. I got your second letter and two postcards this week which was great - hopefully will get more emails once you finish.
Just to say GREAT news on gran front - tumour was non-malignant so although still a few probs with wound bleeding etc it should just be a matter of time to heal.
Still no concrete progress on house sale but fingers crossed it WILL happen eventually. Work slow at Crouch St but chimneys repaired and got an aerial fitted in your bedroom yesterday! Hope it wont still be a mess when you get back. Aiming to move end of April regardless of Sutton House as its all dragging on too long.
I see everyones posts are getting longer as the expedition draws to a close - we all seem to be saying the same sort of thing too! Wierd.
Anyway my girl. Big love. Keep safe xxxx Meems
Mozz,
Me again
Accepted Leeds so await correspondence re accommodation etc.
Will update you via facebook xxx
Hi sieb,
Opa at hier vanavond. A.s. weekend weer hagel en sneeuw. xx mam
