A few of you have asked if it’s possible to see more photos. As you may have gathered, it’s tricky for us to get hold of pictures during each phase as the project sites are quite remote and therefore far away from computers and blogging opportunities.
However, we have managed to get hold of some great pictures from Phase 1, so here are a few highlights from the first few weeks of the expedition.
[Also, a quick note on picture size: on our slow internet connection here it can take a painfully long time to upload large files, so apologies if the photos are not as big as we’d prefer.]

I arrived home safe and sound on sunday. Been to see my doctor, i'm in the "recovery stage". Got to have complete rest so i can't go to work for 2 weeks :o)

Hope that you are very well, saw that sneaky picture of you in Alpha 1 which made me giggle, smiling as always! The shoulder looks absolutly fine, your such a drama queen! haha, well looks like your having an absolutly "awesome" time, in your own words!!!
Things at home are same old same old, just checked through ur emails and thought I couldn't not leave you a message!( Hence why this is in your name!!! Very confusing stuff!!!) Got results last Thursday managed to pull of an A in my resit and an A in my Politics A2 module, after all that talk of me failing!!!!! So I'm absolutly chuffed! Break up from school on wednesday for 3 weeks off, so it will be standard boring revision, and considering the weather here just gets worse and worse it really won't be fun at all! Everyone is well Natasha and Keshav send their love, and of course are very excited for your return! Half way through now, its hard to believe its been 5 weeks, feels like forever! But excited to hear all your banterous storiesssss!!!!! Hope that your having an amazing time, and keep posing, I'm sure I'm going to see alot more of that on the blog! haha!

Hi Thomas! Looks like you're having a blast! (as they say in Oz). Enjoyed the photos - your hammocks looked quite comfy (bet you're missing them now!)Hope you're not too footsore, but at least you can look forward to the diving. I'm off to Melbourne and then Adelaide soon - it's in the 40's there apparently! Going into Sydney again tomorrow to visit the northern beaches. It's a wonderful city. Am writing to you and putting in copies of guide book pages which might be useful for after you've finished.

Great to see your photo on the blog - fancy dress again!! Thought I might see you in your 'sponge bob' trousers. Not much going on here in Jersey apart from the weather - 200mts of seawall along the avenue was washed away by hightides and severe winds and flooding along the south coast. Mum probably told you already but we finally managed to book our trip out to see Jim and Gill. Can’t wait for a bit of sunshine as we are currently being battered by 50 to 100 mph winds, which is doing nothing for my golf!
Aimee, Zowie and Danielle were over for Sunday lunch, had a really good afternoon that turned into a bit of a late one with a bleary eyed Monday to prove it. Missed you round the table …… or was it the amount of Yorkshires left, only joking!
Off to see yet another house pm, still don’t know where going to end up, seven days to decide nothing like a bit of pressure to keep you on your toes.

Just read the latest update and hear the trek is going well. Hope the weather and the boots are holding up. Wondering how you're feeling as the expedition is coming to the end. How fantastic to have the diving in the last week.
Everyone's fine here. I'm starting a new temporary job share on Monday which will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday one week and Monday, Tuesday the next so I'll definitely be able to meet you at Aberdeen airport on the 17th.
It's the Grand National today and we're all picking our horses. Sue and Nigel are here for supper tonight,we might play Perudo (liar dice)as we really got into it on holiday.
Can't wait to see you and thanks for the last letter, it's great hearing your news.
